Criatech Artistic Residences’ candidacies are now open. This is an initiative with the seal of Aveiro 2027 – Candidate City to European Capital of Culture, organized by Teatro Aveirense, and it’s aim is to promote emerging creativity in the fields of Science, Technology, Engeneering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), as part of the Aveiro Steam City program, from Câmara Municipal de Aveiro.
The open call will choose 24 participants in the fields of creative or technological industries, among artists, students, creative minds and all those who want to develop new projects in multimedia arts.
This initiative will provide the practical and theoretical tools to produce technological artifacts, by using creativity, that can give birth to innovative artistic projects. The participants will benefit from a program developed by teachers of two Portuguese well known institutions in the fields of creativity, multimedia and technology: UA (Universidade de Aveiro) and ESAD (Escola Superior de Artes e Design). The plan of activities is complemented by an artistic tutorial action developed by the Canadians Cadie Desbiens-Desmeules and Michael Dean.
