Harvard University distinguished the city of Aveiro and the Aveiro Tech City project with the “Innovation Award in Community Involvement”. The award was given by the Harvard Center for Technology and Entrepreneurship in the third edition of the Annual City Innovation and Innovator Awards, that distinguish cities for the way they address the challenges of urban innovation, social inclusion and technological transformation.
The Aveiro Tech City project understands the need to implement initiatives in which the benefits are clear to citizens so that, in this way, they can gain the population’s trust in the importance of technology and data collection and how it helps in management cities and the digital transformation of companies, particularly in small and medium companies.
