Aveiro will host the 8th Culture Next Conference. The event takes place from the 12th to the 14th of October, at a fundamental moment for this network and for the European Capital of Culture project.
Culture Next is an informal network dedicated to mutual support and collaboration between cities currently or previously candidates for European Capital of Culture, with Aveiro being one of the founding cities of the project. This eighth conference is being conceived as a meeting and inspiration space for cultural managers and public representatives from 20 European cities, also serving to establish links with the New European Bauhaus network, the newly created EIT Culture & Creativity and the MESOC consortium. Plans will also be made for the next two years of Culture Next, its current projects will be discussed and objectives set as a cultural policy force.
Any candidate city for European Capital of Culture, current or past, will be able to participate in the event, regardless of whether or not they belong to Culture Next.
